About

Haim Gilboa

A couples and emotional therapist, trying to return presence, clarity and choice to the therapy room.

My work rests on the understanding that real closeness begins with two capacities held together: the ability to hold yourself inside a relationship — without disappearing in front of the other — and the ability to truly open to intimate, emotional contact, out of choice rather than fear.

I accompany individuals and couples through distance, avoidance, hurt and conversations that never quite land — and meet, in depth, questions of intimacy, differentiation, attachment and trauma.

To me, intimacy is not only softness or closeness — it is a door. A door to personal development and shared growth, through a deep understanding of the mind: the stories we carry, the defences we built, and the living place beneath them, from which we can truly meet ourselves and each other.
